How we collect, use and protect personal information on treewalkduediligence.com. Last updated October 7, 2026.

Who we are

This site is operated by Treewalk Ventures Inc. (“Treewalk”), a firm of Chartered Professional Accountants at 220-333 Terminal Avenue, Vancouver, BC V6A 4C1, Canada. We handle personal information in line with Canadian privacy law, including British Columbia’s Personal Information Protection Act and, where it applies, the federal Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act.

What we collect

Information you give us. When you use a form on this site we collect what you enter: your name, work email, company, deal stage, deal size, timeline, anything you write in the note field, how you heard about us, and whether you asked to receive occasional emails. If you email us, we receive whatever you choose to send.

Information collected when you visit. With each form submission we record your IP address, to protect the site against spam and abuse. We also record the campaign tags or ad click identifiers in the link that brought you here, and the site that referred you, so we can tell which of our advertising and outreach actually works. If you accept cookies, Google Analytics records the pages you view and general information about your device and browser.

Please do not send confidential deal documents through this site. There is no upload field by design. After we reply, we will send you a secure way to share documents.

How we use it

  • To reply to your enquiry and, if you ask, to discuss an engagement.
  • To send you the sample report you requested.
  • To send occasional notes on quality of earnings and deal diligence, only if you ticked the box asking for them. You can unsubscribe at any time.
  • To understand how people find the site and to measure our advertising.
  • To keep the site secure and filter spam.

We do not sell personal information.

Cookies and your choices

When you first visit, we ask whether you accept cookies. Until you choose, and if you decline, no analytics or advertising cookies are set and no advertising platform scripts are loaded. Google Analytics may still receive limited, cookieless signals that do not identify you.

If you accept, we use Google Analytics to measure visits, and we may use advertising tools from Google, Microsoft, LinkedIn and Meta to measure which ads lead to enquiries and to show our ads to people who have visited. You can change your choice at any time using the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page.

When you submit a form. To measure which ads lead to enquiries, our server tells Meta that a form was submitted, with a scrambled (hashed) copy of your email address, your IP address and browser type, and the ad click identifier in the link that brought you here. This happens whether or not you accepted cookies, unless you pressed Decline, in which case nothing is sent. Meta uses it to match the enquiry to an ad, not to show you the contents of your message, which is never sent.

Who we share it with

We share personal information only with service providers that help us run this site and respond to you, and only as far as they need it to do that work: our website host, our email delivery provider, our email and document systems, our client relationship management system, and, if you accept cookies, the analytics and advertising providers named above (and Meta, as described for form submissions). We may also disclose information where the law requires it.

Some of these providers store or process information outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be accessible to authorities under local law.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry information for as long as we need it to respond to you and manage any resulting relationship, and to meet our professional and legal record-keeping obligations. After that we delete it or make it anonymous. Browser-stored attribution information expires after 90 days.

Your rights

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, withdraw your consent to marketing emails, or ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it. We will respond within 30 days.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia, the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, or, if you live in Quebec, the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec.
